Angel.
5'3, stubborn, extremely sarcastic and fierce with an even shorter temper. She's been hurt, alot, but who hasn't right? She covers this pain with jokes, and with the help of her long time bestfriend Alyssa, laughter.
They both moved to their dream place of Los Angeles, California for their senior year of high school, amongst other things, in hopes of an at least semi-normal life. They were crossing their fingers that the saying 'there's no place like home' was true to its words and they could live peacefully and drama-free in their new apartment together.
Living on your own is a huge responsibility but they were up for it, they had to be.
There's also a boy, multiple, but isn't there always though?
What came unexpected was life in LA turned out to be a whirlwind of emotions with so many different things happening at the same time it would make any person's head spin.
New faces, familiar faces, romance, bromance, secrets, fights and more are in store for these friends, making them question not only themselves but life in general.
This is the story about friends, family really, some more than that, who together try to overcome everything life throws at them. But be warned, all that unravels you're not ready for.
To quote Elizabeth George, "Listen carefully. The answers to our deepest questions are often whispered."
(P.S. please don't steal what I write in this story. Zip, zap, zup, nada. Let all that is here stay here please, you know, like what happens in vegas stays in Vegas? No? Exactly, don't do that.)
Synopsis
"Hey, I want you to write a couple of essays for my project. How much is your pay?"
I blinked twice to be sure that the almighty rude Shanelle is right in front of me asking for my help.
"Hmm, but you don't look like you want to get it done" I smirked as I look up to see her scan the cafe with her beautiful blue eyes, just like her brother's.
"Bitch don't try to feel important, I'm only doing you a favour here so cut to the chase and state your price, we both know you need the money desperately" Shanelle replied.
What she said got to me but I wouldn't let her see that, because I truly need the money to support my sick dad.
I just smiled and say "what's it about?"
"I'll text you my address, come over to my place tonight and we can talk it over in my room, no one is allowed to know that you're helping me" Shanelle said quite bossy.
I scoffed and say "Do you find me that intimidating?"
"You wish" she said and walked away.
Does that mean I get to see Romans, I mind screamed. "You're not allowed to mess this up"
