The story follows an aspiring mage on the continent of Nastrith, Haru Hallowborne, who has lived with his mute mother Layla and fierce older sister Evelyne in the illustrious port town of Kyn.

Being the son of mages, much like his older sister,  Haru has to one day leave on an adventure of his own, to join a mages guild; perhaps on this journey, Haru will eventually uncover a sinister and ungodly plot that threatens the land he lives in.
