Basically some langst with some plance as well. I ship all ships and respect all ships so do the same for me guys.
Anyway it's basically how Lance misunderstands the whole team, and he genuinely believes he isn't good enough.
He doesn't really give in the his darker thoughts though. The reason he jokes and flirts so much is any time he starts to think dark thoughts he says something funny to distract himself.
He refuses to even believe he's anything other than the jokester and the cool ninja sharpshooter so when he finally realizes he's not, and he realizes he's depressed and borderline suicidal, he just breaks down and shatters.
And Pidge is there to pick up the pieces.
