Joey Birlem has the definition of a perfect life. He lives in the most expensive house, he's rich, he's popular, and he could get any girl he wanted. His life could be described as neat, clean, and sophistacted.
His next door neighbor, Olivia Rivera is quite the opposite. Her household is filthy, obnoxious, and disorderly. Her Mom works at the local diner as a waitress and her Dad is a junkie and took off by the time she was four. She has two siblings and is poverty-stricken.
These two polar opposites have been neighbors for twelve years and never said two words to each other. That is until the summer before sophomore year comes around and everything changes for the contractive pair.

He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years.
