"Your gonna break my heart, I just know it." I whisper low I'm not sure he heard me. But I slowly manage to lift my eyes up and look into his calculating eyes. After a few long seconds he finally sets his gaze into my eyes. "I'm far from perfect, I'm just as broken as you are but I want to be the one to put you back together." His voice so fragile and gentle like an angel. "I believe you." Maddie is just a regular girl who has a past of secrets, lies and broken hearts. She moves to a small town in Wisconsin. Last year of Secondary school, she's determined to stay under the radar just until graduation then its off to England. Ryder is the towns "bad boy''. His typical tattoo's all over his body. No one can tie him down, He likes to party, drink and most importantly play girls. With every girl fawning at him every second helps him keep his secrets in check.

So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
