this is the new one, don't read the one one it's bad. btw pretty much everything is the same except thanks to simon (i'm adding the nightmare critters btw), i made crafty back into a unicorn and I plan to touch on that more. also the story will just be better thought out because I'm not just making it up as I go (what i mean is i was making new plot points without making an effort for them to flow smoothly into the previous ones in the last one, which is something i won't do here since i have a timeline for the story set in my head.) I also wrote out all the unnecessary characters, so now it's just the critters + anyone important to the story (say Godfrey, Elliot, Andy etc.) with all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, i hope you enjoy the new and improved smiling critters story :D

This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." March 2024 edit: I am not that proud of how the first few chapters turned out and I would prefer to rewrite them some time. They are not my *best* work, but they are not that bad. Out of spite for the newly arisen hero, a newfound hatred rises inside of Toby as he stares at the happy robot. Instead of facing him head on however, he runs. Toby runs away to a place where all outcasts go. A place where the hiding remain hidden. It is there, he meets a girl bearing odd tattoos with no memory of ever getting them, a man who has lost his face, a ringmaster of an illegal circus of the unknown. This mysterious place of convicts and runaways certainly brings about many questions. However, the biggest question of all was, "Who are you?" "I'm you. The new you." . . . "You and I, we're one and the same."

The whole world knew that there were different beings roaming the world. As long as they didnt cause too much harm to the humans, the creatures should be fine. Some would mostly disguise into their human form to blend in with the crowd. One day, Alex's dad suddenly announces that they were going to move to a new house because he found a job the pays well. This also meant that Alex needed to transfer to a new school. And transfer he did. But he didn't go alone. Nope, his all time best buddy, Lester Kriggens joins in as well.
