The Invaders Must Die
By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings. Very shortly after the USAs United National Space Command [UNSC] discovers their exsitence, the aliens, known as Ecarians, send several scouting parties out to find the humans planet. One of the scouting parties lands outside of Des Plaines, Illinois which has a heavy population of supernaturals. One of them, a Sergeant from the local SWAT team by the name of Zuton Cruton, befriends one of the aliens, Zorra. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth... It is the year 2049. Cars can't fly, yet, because of World War III holding the people of Earth back. But the war brought something new humans thought only existed in myths. Flying humans and more mutts, as they are referred to. Mina Mercury, a 16-year-old human mutt with stripped hyena mixed into her thanks to radiation from World War 3 (which Earth has managed to survive and the people are adapting in some ways that make them less human), on her way home witnesses more than one murder.
