Keith and his soon to be love, Savannah, that he does not know about have not a lot things in common. She is an outcast and Keith is almost the most popular person in the 10th grade. He is known for his athleticism and muscles (the typical high school jock). Nobody knows him beyond this point because at home he goes through a lot since his sister has committed suicide. Towards the middle of the school year he is alone in the hallway and spots a girl cutting. He then gets an immediate warning in his body. This was how his sister died. When he got a little closer he found out it was the girl that everyone picked on. He helps her out and later on finds out the unexpected.
