Somewhere In The Early 21st Century (Dayle, U.S.A):
Despite one being a boy and the other a girl. Outcasted goth-emo Kenton Jaye ("K") and former tomboy turned popular girl Ellia Bracelane ("E") were once childhood best friends and each other's first love... And each other's first kiss!
Yet after an unfortunate turn of events when they were in the middle of the third grade they stopped being friends completely.
Fast forward to about 10 years later they are both in high school for their senior year. After not even speaking or really looking at each other at all for that long. They finally try on the very first day of their last year of high school...
