Sixteen-year-old Madelaide Grace Miller has a secret.
Seventeen-year-old Patrick Travis Grey has a regret.

Maddy has never felt comfortable amongst the people who claim to be her friends. She's felt trapped by her mother's secret for as long as she can remember and has never been able to tell anyone the truth. The only thing that keeps her from falling apart is her poety.

Patrick is constantly overshadowed by his older brother. The only place where he can truly express himself is the online writers community he has only recently started to get involved with. Soon enough, Patrick meets Mateo, an eighteen-year-old play write who has yet to pursue his dreams, so he can continue pursuing his high school sweetheart who's not allowed to leave her hometown behind.

Everything stops when Amber, the Friday Night Writing Webcast host seems to have vanished from the online writing platform everyone has grown to love. Confusion creeps into the mind of both Maddy and Patrick when they discover a paper trail Amber seems to have left with a cryptic quote, a date, and a time. Unsure of what to do, Mateo reaches out to both Patrick and Maddy in a desperate attempt to get them to help him find the love of his life and crack the code she seems to have left behind. Confused, scared, and nervous, the three friends who have yet to meet one another face to face embark on a mysterious journey to find the one connection they have with one another, while finding out that their lives might be more interwoven than they originally believed.

|CROSSROADS x LEAP YEAR | Eighteen-year-old April Lewis flees her troubled home, desperate to escape her emotionally distant, controlling mom, and seek out her dad. Little does she know a chance encounter with her classmate will take her on a cross-country ride: a journey that will change April's life forever. A venture that will lead her down a path of self-discovery and unexpected love. *** When eighteen-year-old April Lewis' mom walks around like a zombie, evades all attempts to talk and controls her every move, April decides she's had enough. She leaves home one warm summer evening with nothing but a yellow backpack filled with her coveted dad's letters he's been sending her for the past months, and some bare necessities. She's determined to seek him out and go live with him down on the West Coast, where he has a temporary job. The last thing April expects is almost being hit by a car. The owner of the vehicle? Her classmate, Dave Rivera, a troubled boy whom she almost never talked to before, and who can't be more different than her. After making sure April is just a little banged-up, Dave strikes a deal with her: he'll help her get to the West Coast free of charge, as long as she doesn't report him to the cops. The two embark upon a road trip from NY to LA, navigating through stunning landscapes and meeting a colorful cast of characters. While sharing life stories and exchanging experiences, armed with the wisdom from her Dad's letters, April and Dave discover that they are a lot more alike than they originally thought. The journey slowly becomes more important than the destination, and their path takes an unexpected turn when a shocking secret comes to light. © 2024 EvelynHail Exclusively on Wattpad Based on prompt 4! It wasn't a love story, at least not for me. With events that began and ended with me and Alejandro. We rushed into things that was too intense for a couple of kids. We didn't know what being in a relationship really meant. In a perfect fairytale, the princess would get the prince but my life isn't a fairytale. I'll be taking you through a year in my llife. That if I was being honest, that couldn't be forgotten. I wouldn't forget the good and the bad moments and there were bad ones. It thought me something useful... This is a story of two naive teenagers that find out that it's not as easy being together then it is like in the movies. They find this out with realistic life lessons. That Athena and Alejandro would remember for the rest of their lives. Cover: The cover in made by me. The balloon and the fonts don't belong to me but the background picture does.
