Theodora is having a hard life so far. When she was younger, her father and brother got into a car crash leaving her with her mother. Her mother was then depressed and became an abusive drunk. Some years later, the dead rose and began to feed on the living. When her mother leaves her for dead, her neighbors and close family friends, the grimes family, decides to take her in. Her and Carl are already close, but now they get closer. Is there in upside to this tragedy? Maybe... Newfound love? Or is it all just a lie?
