All Hayley wanted was, in a sense, what everyone wanted: to be normal. But normality is different for every person. And for Hayley Fischer, it was mind control. So when Hayley loses her abilities, she is forced to change her ‘normal.’ At first she thinks her new normal will be, well, normal. But dreams she can’t remember, yet leave her head throbbing in pain and her heart beating with unknown terror, change her mind. She tries yet again to solve the seemingly endless mystery of her biological mother, starting with the only thing Hayley’s ever had from her: a locket that won’t open.
