12 ABY; Taris, a stronghold of the newly founded "Imperial Remnant", is under siege from the forces of the New Republic. The siege has been ongoing since 10 ABY, when a New Republic fleet eliminated all space-based resistance and paved the road for a planetary invasion, however the going has been tough as almost all of the planet has been converted into a huge defence force for the Remnant. This story details key events in the siege, and covers the last months and weeks in depth; concluding with the eventual surrender of Taris, but at a severe cost to the New Republic...
This story is based off a game of Star Wars: Empire at War that my friend and I recently played, so is therefore completely fictional and not related to Star Wars cannon at all.
