Selina Kyle wakes up in a hospital outside of Gotham, and realizes that Bruce Wayne broke his promise to stay with her. Alfred Pennyworth, wanting to fulfill his promise to Bruce, helps Selina get back on her feet.
Meanwhile, Bruce is still looking for Jeremiah. During the day, he fights the street criminals alongside Jim Gordon, Harvey Bullock, and Lucius Fox. At night, he goes to his hideout and works on finding Jeremiah alone.
Tabitha, lives with a drunk Barbara at the Sirens Club. The man she loved was killed the moment she got him back and her best friend was shot and gone before she could look for her. She never found out if Selina had survived, and it'd been months.

His life slides into further turmoil after the sudden death of his longtime butler and confidant Alfred Pennyworth. Then, just when Bruce finally gets his life back on track with the help of former Catwoman Selina Kyle, he is forced to face an old and deadly foe Bane when he kidnaps Dick's wife and former Batgirl Barbara Gordon and their baby daughter Jane Marie. Armed with an armored Batsuit he created in case Superman ever went rogue called The Hellbat, Bruce Wayne goes into battle one last time as Batman to try to save those he cares about. AUTHOR'S NOTE: Given all the hoopla surrounding the movie Batman v. Superman, I wanted to write my own Batman and/or Superman story. After coming up with different scenarios for my story, including my own version of Batman v. Superman (which I still might write later on), I finally decided on this one (for now at least). I wanted to go beyond the controversial The Killing Joke-where The Joker shoots and paralyzes Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Somewhere in the East End of Gotham City, Selina Kyle sat on the floor of her little apartment. It wasn't much. In fact, it had never been much but it was all she ever had - for now. Selina reached into the little black suede satchel and grabbed one of the four African diamonds in the little bag. The diamond glistened in the night as she lifted it up to her eyes. So much value and worth in such a little rock but sadly it was not the forever fortune she had hoped it was. Selina placed the diamond back in the satchel that laid in between her legs. How much more would be enough she pondered. When would it be enough? She sat up off the floor and made her way to the little balcony. Mercury, her black cat followed her from behind. Mercury wasn't just any black cat, no this was a fine purebred black Cornish rex that she had stolen from a drug lord in Istanbul. Mercury followed suit climbing into her arms.
