Real life shows that it is a little more complicated than they want us to believe and to be cautious. Jennifer and Destiny, on the other hand, think that feeling that kind of attraction is nothing but a torture, a curse. Just a bad twist of fate. Yet that is exactly how their story began. With a terrible accident and two pairs of eyes lost in each other for a second too long. Just enough to set off a spark. Love stories would say that the spell is fulfilled, the attraction is born and a happy ending is assured. Real life would suggest staying grounded and not getting overwhelmed by passion. Jennifer and Destiny think it would have been better if they had never met.

Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79. I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band. "Should I answer its call?" #1 in demons on 6/15 -6/17/20! Again on 6/20 and 6/22-6/23! Sweet and innocent Katherine has a routine and is a little tightly wound. She was simply trying to rehearse lines for an audition. Next thing she knows, she's reading out loud her Latin lines and suddenly someone appears, claiming to be a demon she summoned to kill someone for her. Turns out demons can be hot. And he's getting pissed off she won't give him a name so he can kill and go home. The problem is, pissed off turns into something else and before he knows it, he wants to take away some of that innocence and loosen her up, or better yet, tie her up make her his. I couldn't take much more of this. - Camael never asked to be saved by a demon. She didn't even know that demons could be saviors. Her purpose was to do the right thing, even when it felt so wrong. Lirathis has killed her entire life. She was the Devil's whip and knew nothing except pain and destruction. Void of any emotion. Until she met Camael. Something is changing between them. Pulling them together. Wrenching them from the lives they knew. Chemistry had its own magic.
