2098 - La surface est inhabitable dû à la 3ème guerre mondiale 30 ans auparavant. La population humaine en est fortement réduite et inégale. Une barrière sépare les riches et les pauvres. Les riches vivent dans les hauteurs sur des Villes-Plateformes appelées CloudPlat pour éviter la radioactivité de la surface et ne connaissent que bonheur et sérénité. Quant aux pauvres, ils vivent dans les métros dans des conditions déplorables.
