For as long as I can remember I have hated Jayce Ward. I hate how he gets everything he wants. I hate how every girl is in love with him. I hate his silver eyes and his devilish grin. I even hate the tattoos that cover his muscular body...So then why can't I stop imagining his lips on mine?

Working late again. Money for takeout is on the kitchen counter.
Love,
Mom.
I toss the note back onto the counter just as Bryce texts me that he's outside. "Let's get this over with," I huff and walk out the door.
I cringe when he gets out and opens my door for me. He's the nicest guy. He's sweet, caring, funny, captain of the football team, and he's handsome. Yet here I am having thoughts about Jayce. A fuck boy. A drunk. A person ashamed to be seen with me in public. A guy who's slept with over fifty girls. God, what's wrong with me? Even as I create a list in my head of everything bad about him, I can't stop imagining Jayce's lips on mine, his hands around my waist.
Bryce starts the car and the sudden thrum from the engine snaps me from my trance. But it doesn't last. The whole ride all I can think about is Jayce pinning me against a wall, my legs wrapped around his waist as his hands grip my thighs. Even as Bryce and I talk, all I can think about is stupid Jayce.
I hate him...Well, that's not true. I hate that I want him.
