Fear is a funny thing. It consumes you without warning. 

I ran away from my responsibilities as a fire master, the leader of the fire elementals, but now I'm back. 

Things have changed but I haven't. This life will never sustain me, never fulfill me unless I change it. But someone might be beating me to it. With a threat to the monarchy I'm destined to protect, I will have to push every boundary to make it through in one piece. Being the incarnation of the fire elementals of the past, leaves a weight on your shoulders. An expectation.

Returning to the life I ran from, the friends and loved ones I left behind, I must take responsibility for my actions. But I was never good at following the rules and neither was he.

This is the story of four talented people who changed the rules, and dealt with the biggest natural chaos of mankind, that mankind never knew.

The Mages - Water, Earth, Fire, and Air - are taken to a sheltered location named the Mage Sanctuary to train together and prepare for their eventual battle with the Venom's Curse and to rid of the trepidation he has cast across all of Zertima. Several factors determine the prosperity of the four nations, such as political balance, economic success, societal order, and spirituality.
