Fear is a funny thing. It consumes you without warning. 

I ran away from my responsibilities as a fire master, the leader of the fire elementals, but now I'm back. 

Things have changed but I haven't. This life will never sustain me, never fulfill me unless I change it. But someone might be beating me to it. With a threat to the monarchy I'm destined to protect, I will have to push every boundary to make it through in one piece. Being the incarnation of the fire elementals of the past, leaves a weight on your shoulders. An expectation.

Returning to the life I ran from, the friends and loved ones I left behind, I must take responsibility for my actions. But I was never good at following the rules and neither was he.

The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them. Water. I love it. It’s a part of me and when you think of water, you must think of me. You see, I’m Princess Melrose Visico of the Water Elementals and I’m fifteen. I’m the only heir to this throne but with the war approaching, I realize how heavy this crown actually is. It’s so heavy that my brother and protector Prince Colin Visico doesn’t have a clue on how to help. However, there is something greater that needs assistance. My parents the King and Queen themselves along with King and Queen Apolone of the Fire Elementals came to an agreement recently. King Apolone’s son Prince Braeden Apolone will live in my kingdom for a while to demonstrate peace among all Elementals. I agree to let Prince Braeden and his sister Princess Desiree stay here and in turn I will stay with them. What I didn’t agree on was demonstrating peace. Whatever happens, will but this is my story to tell. Although Prince Braeden may disagree, I have no interest in bending myself to please others.
