While coping with the recent death of her mother, Evangeline Arthur has decided to volunteer in a program called "Prison Prodigy", where musicians are able to teach their art to eligible prison inmates. She's assigned to inmate Eric Sylvester, under the guidance of an incredibly flamboyant Social worker, and despite a suspiciously secretive past Eric holds, she's dedicated to ignore his prison sentencing and move forward to teach him piano. All the while, her father is struggling with his deceased wife's court case, as the convicted murderer behind the tragic hit-and-run is planning on appealing his sentence, which could lead to a whole new world of secrets and untold truths.
