Reader inherited a lake house from one of her great aunts.. She planned to use this house for summer with friends. She would live in it year round so as to maintain it, and make sure it was ready for her friends. During the summers, her friends would come during the weekends to hang out.
Shortly after moving in, the night became nightmarish. Supernatural beings lived in the woods around the lake, and when they realized someone had moved into the house, they began to to torment the owner. Their goal was with kill her. Fortunately for reader, the house is cursed/protected, and the beings cannot enter the house unless they are invited in. Reader has learned this, and has made sure that during the night she hunkers down, and opens the door for no one. The creatures are cunning, and will do most anything to get inside. Why do they desire to kill this girl so much?
