Karmilla Dominique Strand is a writer who goes by the pen name Prudence Hill and is residing abroad. She had her shot at fame with her bittersweet novel Secret Tears which is a disguised story of her first love. During the course of her book promotion, she was invited to go back to her home country - one thing that she is very hesitant to do. Due to the fact that Karmilla isn't over her first love yet, she's scared that she might bump into her first love, Darien Stone. She insists that she'll be doomed if he finds out that the story is about them.

Enter Krein Walter, Karmilla's very close friend who has a crush on her and whom Karmilla has developed a little attraction as well.

What would happen if a still heartbroken but crushing Karmilla crosses paths with a still dashing Darien? Will they have their second chance to be together and prove that first love never dies or will they just bicker and walk away for good? Will love blossom between Karmilla and Krein?
