Fantasy
Princess Winifred of the Kingdom of Aglon is not what one would call an exemplary princess. She is constantly outside the castle walls, complains about sitting in on court meetings, and absolutely despises high heels. Winnie and her cousin Andy can often be found wreaking havoc in the kitchens or pranking Susan, the head maid. Winifred's mother is always on her back about being a "better princess." However, Winnie has no desire to do anything other than explore. That is, until one rather interesting dinner meeting introduces Winnie to a whole new world of creatures, some kind, some downright wicked. Sirens. Winnie befriends one of the beautiful creatures, but quickly realizes most sirens are not friendly. After a terrifyingly close call that nearly costs Andy his life and a hasty final decree made by her father, Winnie is both confused and hurt. With her 18th birthday coming up, she must make a decision-- As queen, will she do her best to integrate sirens into Aglon's society? Or will she ask that each of the dangerous creatures be hunted down and captured?
