I always knew it would come to this. I tried to ignore it. I tried to be optimistic. So is this it? I must admit, I never thought Death would wrap his arms around me like this. In a forest. And free. And not having my body strewn all over the kingdom... Well...life never did fail to surprise me. But all the same, I hoped there would have been a happy ending... Oh, life, that you would just this once, grant me a pleasant surprise.

𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀... 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂. My job as a therapist is simple. I talk to my clients, find out what's bothering them, and make sure to listen when they open up to me. Then after a month or more of one-on-one sessions, they leave my office a reformed individual, a happy individual. EXCEPT THAT ISN'T WHAT HAPPENS. Someone IS killing my clients. The cops think I'm hiding something from them because I'm the ONLY thing connecting the victims of this killer. How do I prove I'm innocent, and all I want is for the murders to stop? Then the ANONYMOUS ENVELOPES start showing up. In each envelope is an item belonging to my dead client. The killer is reaching out. If I don't act quickly, another body will drop, AND IT WILL BE MY FAULT. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩? 𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝. "W-What do you want?" I stammered, my eyes not leaving his gaze on me. "I want to prove you wrong." he smirks dangerously and speaks with his husky, deep voice. He took another step towards me and I took another step back making me collide with the wall. He hovers over me, his chest mere inches away from mine. He kept his hand on either side of me, caging me in his arms. He smirks dangerously and says, "That your body doesn't crave for my touch." He always does this, he intimidates me and then thinks I die for his touch. I would never allow his hand near me. Again. I grit my teeth and said "My body doesn't." He leaned closer to me, his hard chest pressing against my hardened nipples and whispered near my ear "Then why are you so nervous, rose?" He kept his mouth near my ear and his hand came on my bare legs. He slowly trailed his big, rough hands, making his way under my skirt. My breath hitched and he stopped mere inches from my core. No matter how hard I try to deny his touch, my body responds exactly the way he wants. My spine arched and my eyes snapped close. He breathed near my ear and whispered in his husky voice filled with sins, "No matter how much you deny, your body always craves for my touch, wife." ✤✤✤ Devansh Raichand, CEO of the top fashion label who only thrived for finding his father's murderer. "You are one who soared the skies, but what a pity darling... 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴"" _ I should have known it was a trap. The clues were right in front of me, yet I ignored them. He transcended them all. Now, I'm trapped. I've been running for two hours, yet this forest has no end. Hunger gnaws at me, my bleeding heel threatens collapse-but I can't afford to lose this last chance to escape. A tree looms ahead, wisteria and fireflies surrounding it. I stumble to it, sinking against the trunk. The mirror work on my lehenga catches the glow of the fireflies. It's Karwachauth-my first. A day to pray for a husband's long life, yet here I am, fleeing mine. "My little fairy finally stopped, hmm?" His voice, soft yet unreadable, halts my breath. Arms enclose me, pulling me into his chest. A kiss lands on my forehead. "You've played enough. Let's go home-you need to break your fast... and face the consequences of your actions." He lifts me effortlessly. I lost my very last chance.
