Naomi Washington's life was perfect. Her parents only sent her to the best schools that would stretch her brain, and challenge her mental ability. She had strived all of her life to get to the point of success she had reached, and was more than content with how she did it. Only a few things bothered her but one thing more than others: she had no idea who she was, and an identity crisis was on the verge of arrival. Joshua Livingston was exactly what America needed: he was very young, and his political views could win votes easily. His only problem was that he needed Naomi to make him even more ready for the upcoming election. It was simple: win voters' hearts, win the election, protect America. But with Naomi Washington being so close to him, could it still be simple? Or would he continuously have to remind himself that she was his advisor and nothing but? Through passageways and hotel rooms, the two jumpstart a relationship, but will it stay strong?

(FORMALLY MR. POLITICIAN) He barely made a move before he felt a hand on his chest. He looked down to see Ama delicate fingers snaking slowly around his tie, tugging it gently until he was facing her. She pulled him closer, close enough for his arousal that had grown throughout the meeting was to press against her stomach. She smirked wickedly. "You should watch where your eyes wonder Mr. Banks." She whispered, fanning warm breath across Graham's neck. It ignited his excitement, making his hard-on grow harder. He slid his hand round her waist, taking his time to go over the curvature of her body, the leather of her corset before gently groping her buttocks. She was so beautiful. "And how could you expect me to keep my eyes off such a desirable woman Miss. Jenkins." He said into her neck, inhaling her scent and peppering light pecks from her ear lobe along her chin. He chuckled when he heard a small moan escape her lips. "Oh I don't expect you to." She said, pressing herself further into his groin, extracting a soft grunt from him in turn. "I myself won't be taking my eyes off you any time soon." _________________________________ Graham Banks was a typical mogul. She's a strong black woman who fought for her place in society and is determined to campaign for women just like her. But her past haunts her, and causes her to live a double life. [UNEDITED] "So the basis of the arrangement is I will pay for your last three years of medical school, pay you a generous monthly stipend and help you get into UW's internal residency program in exchange for-" "-Sex" I cut him off frankly. "Sex?" He chuckled, shaking his head "does it look like I have trouble getting laid? No not sex. To marry me, purely for appearances of course" A blank stare flashed across my face, "I'm sorry, what?" ••• It's a classic tale with a whole new twist. He's the boy who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and she's the girl who doesn't put up with anyone's shit. So naturally, he wants the one thing he can't have, her. Lennox is an aspiring oncologist by day, and a freelance escort by night. When a white policeman shoots an unarmed black teenager, the faith and strength of two families are shaken and a Midwest inner city community struggles with all-too-familiar tensions. The city's lead investigator strives to control escalating protests, a middle school teacher tries to calm her frightened students, and a pastor sees a rare opportunity for his community's voice to be heard. The victim's friend feels the prison walls of gang and drug-related violence closing in, and the officer suffers under a burden of guilt and shame. But the heaviest decision falls on average-Joe hospital technician George Washington, who finds himself--gun in hand--face to face with the man who killed his son. Background: In 2014, I completed my first National Novel Writing Month challenge--in November, I wrote a novel with 50,000 words. I published the book, but never promoted it. No one wants to pay for something with no idea what they're going to get. So I'm going to post preview chapters. All my books are available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle editions. What's this book about? When I first committed to writing a novel, I planned on doing one of my fantasy projects. But the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson and the resulting explosion of racial tensions dominated the news. What I saw online frustrated me. I knew that there was more to the story than any one side would likely present. Such complex issues aren't answered by sound bites and 140-character policy statements. I read up on aspects of culture I had no exposure to. I sought perspectives that wouldn't appear on my Facebook feed or regular web browsing. And I devoured some great books by Malcolm Gladwell that address human nature from an analytical angle using racial tensions and the civil rights movement as primary examples. I was amazed, moved, challenged, and inspired. And I knew that though I arguably have no right to say anything on the subject of racial tensions, I had to write this book.

Rosa never thought she'd make it to sixteen... When being unique puts you in danger and speaking your mind can be punishable by death, you might find yourself fighting to survive. Sixteen-year-old Rosa lives in one of the eight enclosed cities of The Woodlands. Where the lone survivors of a devastating race war have settled in the Russian wilderness because it's the only scrap of land left habitable on the planet. In these circular cities, everyone must abide by the law or face harsh punishment. Rosa's inability to conform and obey the rules brands her a leper and no one wants to be within two feet of her, until she meets Joseph. He's blonde, fair-skinned, green-eyed, and the laid-back complete opposite of Rosa. She's never met anyone quite like him, and she knows that spells danger. But differences weren't always a bad thing. People used to think being unique was one of the most treasured of traits to have. Now, the Superiors, who ruthlessly control the concrete cities with an iron fist, are obsessed with creating a 'raceless' race. They are convinced this is the only way to avoid another war. Any anomalies must be destroyed. The Superiors are unstoppable and can do anything they want. After all, they are considered superheroes by the general public. But not everyone sees them this way. When they continue to abuse their power by collecting young girls for use in their secret, high-tech breeding program, they have no idea that one of those girls has somehow managed to make friends even she didn't know she had. And one man will stop at nothing to save her.
