Alaya made the mistake of driving her car, with a broken AC, on a hot summer day in Missouri. She crashed because of the immense heat that her body felt, but that wasn't the only heat to come in her life. When she is admitted to the hospital after the crash, she meets someone that she collides with. The outdoors won't be the only thing creating heat. After the crash leaves her with traumatic emotional and physical scarring, she creates a bond with a boy who has similar problems. A romance could be a result of an unlucky collision.
