Yvonne is fourteen years old, and about to experience a summer that may change her life forever.

In the summer gap in between middle school and high school, Yvonne and her friends discover who they really are. Alongside her best friend Mai and many others, she lives through one of the best and worst summers of her young life. Romance, adventure, and laughter are just a few of the high points. Discrimination, hatred, and fear are some of the low ones. But Yvonne knows that together with her friends, she can survive anything.
