Every story starts with once upon a time, and for Bend Paine, it doesn't seem like she's getting a happily ever after anytime soon.
You see, Bend was different. From her tiny 4''2 stature, to her social anxiety, to her awkward, shy personality, she couldn't seem to find anything to like about herself.
Except her eyes. Her eyes, you see, were the clearest, brightest blue anyone could imagine. It looked for all the world that she had stolen the sky and hidden it behind her eyelids.
Bend just wants to be a normal girl. Of course, that isn't happening anytime soom. Nothing is normal in this world, not even the old TV shows..

Her hand trembles when she is about to sign the marriage papers. The very mention of the word marriage reminds her of her past, her first marriage. She had not even peacefully come out of her previous toxic marriage and she is pushing herself into the same hell again.
