Fourteen-year old Xander lives an almost normal life. Just a touch of sadness and a pinch of understanding. What he's not aware of is that he's a descendant of power. Not any kind of government power, a power far beyond the reaches of comprehension. He's come from a long line of plagued descendants. A little jump-start that reanimates the plague helps Xander realize he can no longer live a normal life. The truth about the plague and what reanimated it will tear Xander apart, that is, if he can find the truth. Clues are limited and so is time as the disease slowly deteriorates his family. The only thing Xander sees as worse than being immune is finding out why. Why is his world crashing around him?

I could tell she noticed my gaze on her but made no motion to acknowledge it. She was shy around me and I found it incredibly cute.
