I was only five when I first crossed paths with the devil himself-blond hair framing a face too cold, too unfamiliar. His skin was pallid, almost ghostly, and his dark blue eyes seemed to peer into the very depths of my soul, sending icy shivers down my spine. I didn't understand then what I was witnessing, didn't grasp the shadows lurking just beyond my sight. I was too young, too innocent to know the troubles that awaited me, lurking silently in the darkness I couldn't yet see.
