The dragon Maximus was stolen from his family when he was not older than three (in human years) and was a present for the young Prince Commodious.
Maximus did not sit well with being the pet to a snobby, stuck-up Prince. Prince Commodious tried to tame the dragon, but always failed. Maximus fought for years, trying to gain his freedom, but all he got was whips, spikes, iron bars, and even more chains.
When Maximus was about twenty, he finally gave up. He gave up fighting for freedom, but he did not let Commodious even look at him. Then, a newcomer was introduced to him. A small blue and light blue dragon named Asmodius. The frightened dragon was about thirteen, stolen from his home and family. Maximus took pity and let Asmodius under his wing. He protected him from the guards and even the King and Prince.
This is the tale of a broken dragon with hope, and a little brother who needed to be believed in.
