Mary Maximoff is not even related to the Maximoff twins. She was an adopted child who got into a car crash and needed a blood transplant. Immediately. Given that Wanda was the only person there, and had to give Mary her blood, Mary shared Wandas powers. Only one thing. Mary's real dad happened to be a powerful sorcerer and already had powers. Wanda giving even more power to Mary caused Mary to become overwhelmed...and that's where the story begins.
