prove me wrong

Rose is a common, 17 years old girl. She has to move from her house to the other part of the city.
Her new house will change her life but not only in a good way. She finds new friends, and maybe love? But what was prepared for her by her destiny is something no one expected.

"Are you scared?" he asked.

"I don't know. I don't know what to be scared about." I answered honestly. "What if I die?"

"What if you don't?" he said and touched my cheek with his hand.

"What ifs are way too many." I said and looked down.

"Than let's enjoy this week." he said and lifted my head.

I looked into his eyes and saw no pity. I see it everywhere but not in him.

"That sounds good." I said and he smiled.
