Astronomy Class 5th period doesn't actually exist, but after a scheduling error Molly Williams, Sammy Jefferson, Wyatt Henders, and Harry Adams are all placed in the elusive class, they form together, bonding over music tastes to create the Parakeet Marquee a band that doesn't even leave Sammy's bedroom for a whole year.

No one thinks that the 4 teens could be anything but a passing obsession, or that they could produce anything deeper than the usual YOLO songs with repetitive meaningless choruses and confusing lyrics. But Parakeet's Marquee is determined to be something more.
