Jo has always had it rough. When her dad died, things got even worse. Her mother drank and met a man, Steve. Steve drank even more than her. It only resulted in disaster. Jo and her sister Eleanor have had to fight to stay alive for years with the constant beatings from jobless alcoholics. Eleanor made it out alive and Jo is the only one left. Jo is now 17. Her mother, Carolyn and her step father Steve, suddenly disappear out of thin air. It's happened before, but this time something feels different. On top of all that, there is a guy, Jason is taking an interest in her. Jo has always hated him, but Jason just might be able to help Jo with all the struggles she is going to be facing in the story.
This book is a whirlwind full of drama and UNexpected twists. It almost becomes nauseating.
I understand there isn't a big struggle for the characters to get together, but it's not what the whole story is about. I didn't feel I should drag it out.

**First book. Chapters are short in the beginning, but will increase in length shortly. I update once or twice a week. Not to long of a wait.
