Everybody has a reaper. When you're born your reaper is far away and from that time on it starts to move closer. Sometimes the movement is very slow, a couple inches a year but other times you might look up and your reaper is standing in front of you, face to face. The things you do also affect how much and how fast it moves. Reapers help you know when to make the right decisions and what could get you killed. Reapers were not supposed to disappear, but Sadie's did.
For a while now Sadie's reaper has been missing and she has no idea when it plans to return. For all Sadie knows, she could become immortal.
When Sadie receives a strange email inviting her to the most haunted place in the world, Sadie jumps at the chance to find her reaper, but did she jump the gun too soon?
Now Sadie finds herself knee deep in a situation she never thought she would ever come about.
