Poppy Jameson lives in The Counterpoint Home for Children because she holds a powerful gift that terrifies her family - the ability to manipulate fire. With no guidance, Poppy struggles to control her gift. It's not until she finds The Island that she finds people just like herself - people who can help guide her.
