You basically live with the Supreme Kai of the seventh universe as you are both very good friends, but it wasn't till the Supreme Kai suggested that you had a taste of the tenth universe; only because Gowasu the Supreme Kai of the tenth universe was having some trouble with his apprentice Zamasu. All you had to do in the tenth universe was live there till Zamasu had a heart for the mortals.
