At the age of thirteen, Kenneth Adams, a formerly popular football player, was diagnosed with Metastatic Osteosarcoma, or bone cancer, which had spread. After an intense battle, he is finally hoping to end the full war against a body that turned against him. He is attempting to cope with his new-found perspective.  One with his family, friends, and himself. 

"We are not invincible. We would all love to think we are, but we aren't. So, we make up people that are. Someone helpful, powerful, and strong. Someone who can't be killed. Like Superman. That is, until 1943, in "The Meteor from Krypton," when a green space-rock was introduced as his weakness. One that drains his superhuman abilities.
