There are three very important rules to best friendship:

1. Never break your promises.

2. Never keep secrets from eachother.

And ...

3. Never lie.

My name is Kasey Fleetmore, and my best friend Jaxon Tenner broke all of them. He's been my neighbor my entire life, and the day we met when we were four, it was the best day of my life. Having had a curious boy as my best friend, there's nothing we didn't do together. I am loud and obnoxious, and Jax has a quiet disposition. Where he lacked in words, my mouth made up for it. Granted, we drove everybody crazy, we were a Jax and Kasey special kind of crazy ... we were a perfect pair, two peas in a pod. Until he'd lied, then left me ... breaking all the rules. Two years later he's come back and I am not happy about it. The only benefit to his return, he's one hell of an eye candy. The bad part, I don't know what to do about it.

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! ⚠️ Warning!!⚠️ ⚠️ Contains mature content such as smut, violence, language and drug use⚠️ "Life is a cruel lottery-misfortune rains on all, while fleeting blessings tease only a few. For people like me, the darkness clings like damp rot, and any flicker of light snuffs out before it can warm the soul." "You might be different," he said, voice soft. "There's goodness in you." I laughed, a bitter edge cutting through. "After the wreckage I've left behind? No, I'm no exception. And neither are you." In a world crawling with criminals, where mobsters pull the strings and masks hide every face, beauty is just a lure for the unwary. The most breathtaking places? They're the deadliest traps. Kaleb Amato, Ridgewood High's golden quarterback, reigns with swagger and a mind sharp as a blade. A bright future gleams ahead-arrogant, untouchable. A hero? Hardly. Mia Langley, a firecracker with a tongue like a whip and a mind in splinters, storms back after two years in a brutal boot camp. Sweet? Innocent? The idea's a punchline. She's home now, but DyverCity's first rule has slipped her mind: don't let its seductive shimmer fool you. This city's a Venus flytrap-get caught in its jaws, and you're not getting out alive.
