"The rain had always calmed Lyra, for it was a sense of serenity, an indicator of well-being, not to mention the benefits of the water to the earth. Perhaps it even symbolized a new beginning, the chance of a flood, that would remove all of the past, clearing way for new prospects, dreams and hopes. She liked that idea, starting over completely, with no resemblance or link to the past. Maybe, just maybe, things would be so much better than they are currently. Maybe,just maybe,she start a new life and forget her crushes she had on both boys and girls...
Robyn became an envy by all, and all the boys wanted her. She dismissed them out of hand, further pushing down her true self. Never ever would she admit she had no interest in boys, that she liked girls. This façade worked for a good amount of time, up until her senior year in High School.
That is until the two girls paths intersected. Neither one was ever the same."
