"It's crazy ain't it?" He says. His voice barely barely a whisper, but the night was quiet and the air was steady to the point I could hear my own heart beating.
"What is?"
"Time goes by too fast. It continues to move and wouldn't stop a single second to wait for you," he trails off. My attention that was once focused on the beauty of the night now lies in his eyes. My heart skipped a beat when his hazel pair met my cold green ones.
Why am I feeling this? Whatever it may be, it feels comforting and warm.
"So when you leave, I want you to live every second. Face life without hesitation." He finishes.
Jersey Bane found herself in situations she least expected to be in. Having moved to Chicago, she was up for a new chapter in her life but not once did she see this one coming.

We've been friends since grade school. Best friends at that. Never did anything without each other. We can't imagine being separated. Well, actually, we can. His rich, velvety voice sent thrills down my spine as he spoke my name. His intense, mesmerising gaze focused on mine, making it impossible to look away. As he drew me closer, his powerful arms wrapped around me, and I could feel the warmth of his breath against my skin. The aroma of his fragrance, a seductive blend of spice and musk, filled the air, making my heart race and my senses whirl. It's as if every aspect of him is intended to captivate and enchant me, keeping me completely entranced. Release me," I muttered, feeling my cheeks heat up as I stubbornly avoided his gaze. He let go like he had forgotten to do so. For a few seconds, neither of us said anything. I fiddled with the hem of my sleeve, pretending I was calm, while secretly screaming inside. Why is he just standing there? Say something, idiot! Finally, he broke the silence. "So, why were you ignoring me?" he asked in low, almost accusing. "Why would I ignore you?" I lied without flinching, acting like innocent. But he wasn't buying it. "I saw you," he said, stepping a little closer. "You ducked behind a door like you were dodging bullets. You thought I wouldn't notice?" Ugh, busted. I rolled my eyes. "Maybe I just didn't have any reason to confront you," I replied, crossing my arms as a shield against how close he was now. He leaned in slightly, smirking, "Oh, but you had plenty of reasons to hang around those guys at the swimming pool, huh?" he shot back. "I was just... talking," I said defensively. "It's called being social. You should try it sometime instead of lurking around like a spy." He chuckled, "Lurking? Please. I was just passing by. I was surprised when I saw you laughing with those guys like you were starring in some rom-com." I refuse to back down. "And what if I was?" I challenged. He didn't flinch. Instead, he tilted his head with a mock-thoughtful expression. "Then I guess I'd have to remind you... there are better options around " he said, tapping his chest casually.Complete

[COMPLETED] "I have a proposal for you." I smiled, hoping he'd take it well. "I've learned that he's been doing super nice things for me, like inviting me places, asking to hang out, you know... Well, I figured he won't really realize what he's missing until it's gone." He got up and made his way across the room to my bed. He sat next to me, his legs dangling off the edge. "And where do I come into this?" I awkwardly avoided eye contact with him. "Well, I figured we both needed a little push in our love lives. Me with Drew and you with Jaz." I glanced at his face to see his reaction. All he did was roll his eyes, but he didn't deny his crush. "Well..." "Spit it out, Wilks." "We should fake date." I gulped and watched his eyes nearly pop out of their sockets. ~~~ Arabella Wilks lived in her own world. She had a strict mindset and never saw past it. "I may not remember much, but I do know that I had the best time with you last night." Charlie drops his hand from his mouth and lifts his head to stare into my eyes, pushing his hair back from his face at the same time. "And I know this is awkward now, because I'm pretty sure we were both naked together in bed last night..." I choke on air, trying to dispel the imaginary object from my throat. Charlie reaches out and lightly grasps my hand; my eyes slide from our interlocked fingers to his shining pupils. "...but I still wouldn't change a single thing about it. So, I really do look forward to hearing from you later, Kaiydeen." It's like I've been taken hostage by his electric stare. I don't want to look away. I never want to look away. The busy noises of the street and the honking of the traffic fade as I lose focus, nothing strong enough to force my attention away from this boy. Finally, Archer loudly clears his throat as he flings his door open and plops into the car with a huff, breaking the trance between the two of us. I look away as I withdraw my hand from his grasp, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. This is going to be a long 6 months. ●●● Kaiydeen has always known what she wanted, more like who, but she never knew exactly how to get it. So she's complacent with biding her time until it, actually he, comes to her; no matter how long that takes. But then one day she crashes into someone she doesn't expect. Someone that has always had an eye for her, and he isn't satisfied with biding his time until she's his. But when the one person she's always wanted admits he wants her, too, she's forced to make a choice. Should she go for the boy she just met or the boy she's always known? There is some use of mature language in this story, so if your eyes are innocent and you want them to stay that way this might not be the story for you.
