You know what's worse than having your light taken away from you?
Being reborn only months before your light was taken away from you. Light is what defines a guardian and for the Hunters, they need it more than ever. One of the few Hunters who still had a functioning Ghost after the Cabal invaded, Cecilia Rayner, was one of those who fought along side the Vanguard to take back the city even though it would mean certain death if they slipped up in any way. She was reborn only months before the invasion on the Last City. Her story is far different from the stories typically told of the hero Guardians but just as interesting.

A Legend Reborn.
The Golden Age- When the Traveler arrived, a time of peace, prosperity, and infinite possibility sprouted from Earth. This is a story about my Destiny 2 character Nova. As a new Guardian, learning from others and from her mentor Storm. With his light he created the Guardians. Dead people were reborn as guardians and with Traveler's light they go against the darkness. But darkness is really powerful and the Traveler needs help. So, he creates a special ghost. A ghost looking like the others but far more powerful. A ghost which is fated to reborn a God. Artemis, one of the most powerful Olympians, daughter of Zeus and Lyto, big Apollo's twin sister, Goddess of the Hunt is reborn by that ghost. They both know nothing about their powers, their past or their destiny. Artemis, like all the Guardians, forgets her past. She doesn't hate men and she remembers nothing about her virginity vow. With the other gods dead, this oath means nothing.
