A mad man tries to make sense of a supposed great evil he and his cohorts released onto the world.
The tone is Lovecraftian, yet the exposition is not so heavy handed. This is mostly due because the narrator is directly speaking to you, the reader. In the case of this story, aside from hopefully finding some entertainment value in the piece, your role would also be to fill the shoes of the psychiatrist conducting the interview. It is assumed that the story flows to a logical conclusion, so although the psychiatrist has no voice, I am hoping that any questions you have regarding the odd archaeological find and the mysterious events that follow, flows to a chronologically sound conclusion that may give you want to peek under your bed during the night.
Thank you for your time.

*****
It was just an experiment. Simply kill one person to see what it felt like. See beauty in the moment of death. See if it filled the void within her. It didn't. Nor did it the next time. Or the next. Gwen is an ordinary person. Wife to Amanda. Mother to Grace and Alexandra. Suddenly, she is no longer ordinary as she finds herself battling her urges and demons before she hurts those closest to her. But is it already too late?
