Everybody has a bad year. For me, seventh grade was the worst year of my life by far; filled with crushes, drama, a buttload of work, and decisions. So I'm going to share my year. I'm doing this for me, along with people who wanna know. The reason I'm doing this for me is so I can look back on my year and correct myself in the future. Sometimes you get things to happen your way and you're happy, sometimes you don't and you're hurt. What hurts even more is to experience what you had wanted for a little while only for it to be robbed away from you brutally. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
