Cayro Martinua is no ordinary human. She has powers. Powers that no other human possesses. But this is no luxury. Especially where she lives.

The year is 2350. War has ruined the lives of all the humans that remain on Earth. But despite how hard life is, humanity is far from working together to survive. Cayro knows this all too well. Now, she is faced with this issue when she and a girl from another planet are kidnapped by Dr. Samuel Roginburn and put into a special place where their powers are monitored every other day.

And, although Roginburn claims that he is keeping Cayro and her new alien friend safe, Cayro suspects that something is not right, and is doing all that she can to find out the truth.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! 13 parts Complete
Dr. Zoey Ek was a top secret operative-in-training for the enigmatic Council Supreme of the Watchers, tasked with overseeing humanity's evolutionary tendency. Her mission was clear: observe, but never interfere. Unbeknownst to her, however, she was tested to ascertain her qualification status in carrying out this mission -- a test she failed. For in the line of her duty, an incident turned "accidentally" deadly. And Zoey made a fateful choice -- breaking protocol to save the life of an innocent, would-have-been-dead child. What she believed was an act of compassion was deemed a insubordination by the Watchers, a grave "sin" that disqualified her from her primary mission. As punishment, she was relegated to the ranks of the Preventors, a penitent role reserved for operatives who failed the Watchers' stringent tests. Now, Zoey has one chance at redemption: save the lives of 1,000 individuals targeted for sudden, inexplicable death across the globe -- all within 24 hours! Success will restore her honor and her place among the elite. Failure means an eternity as a Preventor, a shadow of her former self, forever haunted by the lives she could not save. Armed with extraordinary powers but racing against an impossible clock, Zoey must confront not only external forces but also the weight of her singular decision to save that child's life. Will she rise to the challenge, or will the burden of 1,000 lives prove too much, even for a superhuman?

Six high school students. One impossible mission. And a power they never asked for... Kidnapped by the ruthless bio-terrorist group NEMESIS, the teens are exposed to a new element called Primonium-unlocking abilities only the rarest of humans, known as Primes, could possess. NEMESIS plans to unleash Primonium into the atmosphere, creating thousands of superhumans and reshaping society on their own twisted terms. Rescued by Atlas Corp., a private military organization dedicated to stopping NEMESIS, the six teens are thrust into a world of danger, espionage, and powers beyond their imagination. As new Primes, they must progress with their abilities, trust each other, and confront a rising threat that could kill millions. From high school parties to global battlefields, these six heroes must stop NEMESIS before the world changes forever. Evolution isn't a choice-it's a responsibility. And the clock is ticking. 🧬🧬🧬 Red Skies is a semi-grounded superhero story with some light progression elements. Think of it as Captain America meets X-Men meets Power Rangers meets My Hero Academia. There will be three books in the series, each of somewhere in the realm of 30-35 chapters apiece. The series contains 3 POVs, each dealing with different themes, character development, and aspects of the story. Chapters are 2,000-3,000 words, every Saturday at 12 PM EST.
