Rain lived a simple life.  Wake up, harvest the blood of her enemies, repeat.

That is until she gets a curious, pointy eared Spiker as a partner, guaranteed to drive her best friend insane.

Is she worried that they'll strangle each other before the hunt is finished? Or is she concerned with Lark who hasn't been acting like himself lately.

If they can figure out what they're up against, maybe they can put their heads together and kill the very thing that's been tormenting their planet for centuries. 

With the help of a few friends, this unlikely bunch will adventure high and low, east and west, to the ends of the universe on a mission that could easily kill them-- in more ways than one.
