Wings of Fire: The Misfits (Teaser)

In the world of Pyrrhia, while some familiar dragonets are busy fulfilling their prophecy, a MudWing named Rust and his friends travel all over the dragon world, serving all the tribes under the Barterguild. All of these traders were rejected from their own tribes, and thus struck out to find a new place in Pyrrhia. But in such changing times, it is almost guaranteed that a normal trip to a queen's castle will turn into an adventure that shapes the course of history. From Queen Scarlet's hatching-day feast to the end of the Great War, nothing will be the same for the Misfits as they fight to stop the evil Guildmaster Mesa before he becomes the wealthiest dragon in all of Pyrrhia.

This work is not the actual book, just a bit of a teaser to give you an idea of what I'm working on for a future Wings of Fire short series of 8 novellas. Each of these will revolve around a new collection of dragonets, called the Misfits. Like the Dragonets of Destiny, they're outcasts from their own tribe, raised away from the rest of Pyrrhia and have close bonds with each other despite their differing tribes. One other goal of mine is to make Misfits completely canon-compatible so that it won't feel weird.
