It may start like this: You're sitting in class, squinting your eyes together to try and make out the tiny and blurred squiggles on the blackboard. You rub your left eye once, twice, trying to get rid of that irritating itch you've had since that morning. The fuzzy letters remain the same. You shrug and think you might need new glasses.
