You are just an average inkling in Inkopolis Square, when you notice a strange person who changes your life.
This story begins in Splatoon 2, but I will mark in the chapter list when the story jumps to Splatoon 3 for those of you who want to jump straight to that point instead.

Heyo! This is my first Splatoon fanfic here, so I hope it's not too cringy. A bit of swearing (maybe), but overall, pretty friendly (I hope). I'd say 10+ for ages. And none of the photos or characters that are in the book belong to me, unless I say so. Anyway, on to the description. (Cover is credited to @ThatSaltyMango) Startled and afraid, (Female) Agent 8 fights for her freedom against (Male) Agent 3 after abandoning her squadron that was supposed to lead the getaway to Octo Canyon. Out of nowhere, they're both suddenly knocked unconscious and wake up in a dark lab, about to be sanitized. Will they escape? Find out. Reached #1 in Splatoon at some point during 2021 93,287 words (yes, i calculated dw), not counting the 7 intermission/notification chapters. I will now be posting everything unedited and unfinished for the sake of not feeling bad about the "talent" that middle school me felt when writing this. She heard of rumors of the old subway station and she's seen another inkling who's told her that he's an agent...agent 4, near what seems to be a sewer? The story takes place long ago and is about a scientist that has no other dream but to create life. After many failures, he is forced to seek help from hooded figures that appear one night. He succeeds, but gets trapped in deal he can't escape from. A few months later, a shadow starts terrorizing the land of Inkopolis. It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it. O Agency. And became a valuable asset for them. Along with his new friend "Cross", they moved to the Plaza to live a normal life. But do they? Follow the adventures of Brooks and Cross.
