In a village where magic is forbidden, there lives a girl. This girl is named Ruby. She isn't anything special. Unless you count the fact that her life has been planned out for her since magic was first banned nearly four hundred years ago. Or that she is the last of her kind. Her three friends are mages as well. But when the village learns of one of her friend's use of magic, Ruby is the only one who can save him. But what price will she pay?
